Massive Destruction
A game for 2025 Pirate Software Game Jam 16. More like a tech demo due to time constraints on all parties. But we had fun and learnt new things about Godot and the process of planning and making a game.
Massive Destruction is an auto-scroller about an unstoppable alien rampaging through the countryside and destroying trees for unknowable (and some may say ‘nefarious’) reasons. Press different letter keys on your keyboard to shift into different forms (weapons?) using Radiation, Spikes and, of course, Destruction!
Implemented keys: S, R, D.
Only tested on Windows, Google Chrome and Firefox.
Known bugs:
- shaders are compiled in real time, so game freezes when using an ability for the first time.
- DPI scaling needs to be at 100%, either lower/increase it in the system or browser settings.
